Citizens from Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, and the United States entering Germany for the purpose of a long-term stay (> 90 days), including a stay for the purpose of gainful occupation, do not require any visa at the time of entry - application for residence or settlement permit is possible after entry, within a period of 3 months.
