US tech company is opening its European headquarters in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Users all over the world sing karaoke together – and in real time: With the app "World Karaoke", the US company Open Sesame Media wants to move the singing experience into the digital space and connect karaoke fans around the globe.
Open Sesame Media is a B2B application and tools developer pioneering the future of 'social audio' experiences. They are currently working with major telecoms from across the globe on an entertainment use case called 'World Karaoke': a voice-first social singing experience that uses its proprietary extremely low latency technology to enable people to sing together when they are not together. The team’s backgrounds include experience from Sony, Nintendo, BBC, Disneyland and Sony Pictures.
In order to market innovations like these outside the USA, Open Sesame Media is now launching its European business in North Rhine-Westphalia. With the support of NRW.Global Business, a suitable location was found in Cologne.
Open Sesame Media's business areas include augmented reality, virtual reality, and app development. The tech company from California was part of the Quake Capital, Deutsche Telekom, & Mediengruppe RTL accelerator program and recently received funding from the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.
