• Gigaset, a German corporate group in the field of ICT, expand its infrastructure and facilities at the main production site at Bocholt. In customer services up to 14 new jobs will be created.
• Esri Deutschland GmbH, distributor and system vendor of California-based Esri Inc., opened its seventh German subsidiary in Cologne. In the course of the opening 21 new jobs are being created.
• CretschmarCargo, major logistics service provider, invests about EUR 12 million in the construction of its new European headquarter. The new logistics cpenter for European transport is built on a 55.000 m² sized area in Benrath near Düsseldorf.
• China based Clenergy, manufacturer of photovoltaic mounting systems and inverters, has relocated its European headquarter from Frankfurt to Cologne. The new site also gives Clenergy the opportunity to relocate its central European warehouse.
• Top itservices GROUP, one of the leading recruitment agencies in IT and engineering, expands its subsidiary network and opens up a new office in Cologne, its third office in NRW.
• Novar GmbH, subsidiary company of US-based technology group Honeywell and specialized in fire protection and clinical safety, reunits its administration department on a new location in Neuss near Düsseldorf. Novar employs 500 people at Neuss.
• International operating Huesker, manufacturer of plastics and textiles for geotechnics, is expanding its facilities at its Dülmen site near Münster. The company purchased a 50.000 m² sized piece of land for the necessary expansion.
• Electrolux, a Sweden-based manufacturer of domestic appliances, establishes an exhibition and training center in Löhne near Bielefeld. In times of trade fairs the brands Electrolux, AEG, Juno and Zanussi will be presented it the new exhibition center
• Kuraray Europe, subsidiary of Japan-based special chemicals producer Kuraray, invests EUR 20 million in the expansion of the manufacturing facility of its brand product TROSIFOL PVB film in Troisdorf near Cologne.
• Specialty chemicals company LANXESS is expanding cresol production at its Leverkusen site. Around EUR 20 million are going to be invested in the facility. In the first expansion step in 2010 the company invested already EUR 39 million.
• Jones Day, a US-based global law firm, continues to invest in its successful German practice through opening a new office in Düsseldorf. The combination of offices in Tokyo, Brüssels and Düsseldorf will offer all of the services to Japanese clients.
• The American real estate broker Century21 has established its German head office and an additional Flagship-store in Düsseldorf. Up to 300 new offices shall be created in the near future, particularly in Düsseldorf and the Rhineland.
• Illinois-based Hobbico Inc. announced the acquisition of Revell Deutschland Holding GmbH, the European market leader in the plastic model building segment. The headquarter in Bünde will serve as the European branch for Hobbico.
• The logistics service provider WIR Packen’s is building a new logistics facility on a 9.000 m² sized estate in Krefeld. The company is going to store and ship products for the Swiss Nestlé group.
• Infoteam Software Group opens up a subsidiary in the technology center Dortmund. Therewith the company settles in direct proximity to its customers, the university and other scientific research institutions. Up to 20 new jobs are being created.
• The relocation and logistics company Dachser & Kolb opens up a subsidiary in Neuss near Düsseldorf. The company will establish its new handling and storage facility until the end of 2012 on a 1.000 m² sized area. Up to 24 new jobs are being created.
• Turkey-based clothing retailer Sarar plans to open a store in Düsseldorf in August 2012. It will be located on the Königsallee and occupy a total of 1400 m². The company will invest up to a 1.28 m $.
• Chromalox, a leading manufacturer of electric heat and control products, announced the opening of its new sales office in Dortmund. The office will provide sales, design and service for customers in process industries across Germany.
• US-based Synygy, a provider of sales compensation management software, is to establish an EMEA sales office in Cologne, Germany. The office comes as part of a number of investments the company is making as part of its international growth plans.
• Food company Univeg Deutschland, subsidiary of Belgium-based Univeg group, invests EUR 3m to construct a 13,330 m² sized distribution centre in Duisburg. The facility includes warehouse and packaging areas, a ripening store and a quality laboratory.
